Executive Coaching

When used for the right reasons and with competent practitioners, executive coaching can provide significant and lasting benefits for both individuals and organisations.

Typical outcomes of executive coaching include the following:

  • Handling change
  • Working well with teams
  • Interpersonal relationships
  • Better management through enhancing an executive’s ability to navigate sensitive political issues
  • Strengthening strategic decision making skills, and
  • Opening a window onto organisational and self exploration

Coaching is seen as an effective way of helping an individual improve these so-called “soft-skills.”

What does Coaching Involve

Business coaches work on a one-on-one basis with managers and leaders.

There are four phases of the Coaching model:

  • Establishing a coaching partnership
Determination of specific coaching needs in conjunction with management and formulating a proposal of services and coaching contract.
  • Action Planning
Establishment of values, vision and goals.
  • The coaching cycle
Review of the participant’s progress and address any obstacles or difficulties that have arisen.
  • Evaluation and follow up
It is important at this stage to prevent slippage and ensure continued self-development.

Coaching is about change. It involves change at various levels – enhancing current skills, learning new skills and transforming values, beliefs and behaviours in the personal and organisational arenas.

Our coaches are trained Psychologists who utilise the behavioural coaching model and draw upon Emotional Intelligence ideologies throughout the programs. This ensures that a good understanding of human behaviour and corporate philosophies are applied.
